Nudura for me all the way.... and you didn't show the nudura metal clips that connect courses those are required and due to the nudura size, you need half as many...., and the 8 foot metal mesh grid channel that snaps in every second course... makes the wall super straight and extra rigid and so easy to prep for pour. Less joints, less blowouts ! The starter channel and easy buck for windows/doors are superior as well. amvic block is the worst, nubs are small and push blocks apart, requires twist ties, what a pain ! I charge 25 percent extra labour if a customer wants amvic

Have you ever done a monopour with an ICF deck and walls? Pour the walls and continue onto the deck system. I saw a video once of this strategy but cannot find it again.

Hi Arron, I really enjoy learning from your channel about building with ICF. I have a question about your preferred method for attaching ICF to LVL supports. Specifically, what would you recommend for attaching an LVL to a 6" core Fox block wall for a 16" open web floor truss? For the first floor we poured, we cut out the foam, faced it with plywood, and embedded anchor bolts. However, this method was very time-consuming. After removing the plywood and installing the LVL, we found there was a lot of wasted time drilling and aligning the bolts to the LVL. Your knowledge in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Is that fiberglass rebar? if so, why then use steel rebar on the edge (i'm guess because fiberglass is not bendable)

Great video, thanks. I built a 2 story extension to my house in the UK with Nudura and found it really easy. Ive never previously done any construction before either. Total amateur. I would happily recommend Nudura. One of the deciding factors for me was the size of the block and the volume created with each one put down. It was very quick. Lots of great online resources and some of the uk distributors were very cery helpful. Cheers, Dave

I’d like to see a video about Nudura XR35 block. No one has videos on that block. It looks like they have a long corner block for the XR35 corners too vs. their short corner for standard block.

Please do quick video on the general process/workflow from the perspective of a GC or owner-GC from deciding if an ICF roof is right in your case. A updated cost breakdown would be interesting as well. I am based in Arizona so I am curious if ICF roofs are worth it out here. Fox blocks now offers compact blocks that ship flat and are assembled on the job site for their strait blocks

I live here in Mississippi and see all these Dole Banana trucks come and go. I know they leave with bananas, but do they come back empty? If so, some of these block companies might be able to set up warehouses closer to end users. Or maybe builders could work out something. Also, does Fox Buck fir other block systems. I know they are not going to fit perfect, but can they be used with a slight "field mod" so the thermal break can be used. Since the bucks are flat, the freight cost would not be too high.

Have you ever used the Helix Micro Rebar with or instead of rebar?

What all blocks are made in the nixa plant beside fox and build.

a Fox Decking or Roofing would be great ...esp if they could design it to work both exposed (flooring use) & encapsulate the concrete/rebar (double insulated roof) with a 2nd locking top layer. thx for doin this series, Aaron!

You have such great projects but to much talking while doing nothing, it would be great to do voice over while actually watching a project get done. I think this would greatly increase your likes and views. Just my two cents. :)

I’m just curious if I were to build a house with new construction and everything were planned well how cheap can you get an inground hot tub, down to . Labor and materials while doing a new construction I’m assuming would be vastly different then a pre-existing house because you can engineer the property to make it easier for the install

I love all your projects and ideas but I tend to not watch many due to the fact you barely show them being constructed and put together, I think you would double or triple your views if you showed more construction videos, just my two cents :)

Do you have a suggestion for keeping the ecofinish waterline clean? Ours looks very dirty, probably suncreen from the guests and alges, giving the pool a really gisgusting look with a dirty green area around the waterline. Thanks !

Great video, thanks for explaining the process. Any suggestion on how to keep the waterline clean? At our pool the waterline is also ecofinish but a lot of grease of probably suntan sticks to the waterline with probably alges making the waterline look very dirty and green, our poolguy has having it very difficult to keep it clean as we want our ecofinish waterline to be as pretty as can be for our guests.
